- (@title Calendar Pal - Data Base@)(@indent 3@)
-
-
-
- There are two files associated with Calendar Pal. The first is a configuration
- file, typically named (@color 3@)"Cal-Pal.cfg"(@color 1@). It contains the
- rev of Calendar Pal which created it and the name of the notes data file. When
- Calendar Pal comes up, it first looks for a .cfg file in the current directory, then
- the S: directory. If none is found, you will be asked to choose one using
- an ARP file requestor. The first time you run Calendar Pal there will not be a
- .cfg file, (@color 3@)so hit the CANCEL gadget on the requestor(@color 1@). The
- first time you save a set of notes, a .cgf file will be created. At that time, you can
- accept the default naming convention or choose a name to suit you.
-
-
-
- The second type of file is the notes data base, usually named (@color 3@)"Cal-Pal.dbf"(@color 1@).
- When you save the notes data the first time, you may choose the name for this file
- and which directory it will be stored in. The (@ref help:menus@)menus(@unref@)
- also allow for a (@color 3@)"Save As"(@color 1@) convention. By storing
- different .cfg files you may have multiple versions of notes data bases.
-
-
-
- The .dbf files are simple text and can be edited. However, if you choose to
- edit one of these files, (@color 3@)proceed with caution!(@color 1@)
